Finale Acoustical Panels
Alpha Hart Lewis Elementary School – Columbia, MO

Tectum Finalé panels are a high NRC (Noise Reduction Coefficient) solution for spaces that require acoustic dampening. A composite of Tectum Panels, Tectum spacer strips and MinWool-1200®*, Finalé panels have an NRC of .85 to 1.00 and a Class A interior finish.

Whenever a space calls for the highest possible sound absorption, and anywhere activities demand abuse-resistant panels, Tectum Finalé panels are an unmatchable design solution.

*MinWool-1200
MinWool is high-density, noncombustible insulation made of organic Basalt (Volcanic Rock) fibers. MinWool absorbs noise while resisting moisture, mold, mildew and fungi growth.

®MinWool-1200 is a registered trademark of Johns Manville.

NRC/Mountings - Noise Reduction

Up to 1.00 NRC can be achieved depending on mounting style. Furring strips installed horizontally (when using
vertical panels) are recommended and should be a maximum of 24" o.c. when using 1"-thick panels.

SIZES, FINISHES

Tectum Finalé Wall Panels are available in various thicknesses and widths of 23¾" and 47¾" with beveled edges. Up to 12' lengths are available in 1’ increments. Custom lengths are also available. Factory finish is in natural, painted white or custom colors.

Weights

  • 1" - 3.00 lbs./square foot

  • 1½" - 4.00 lbs./square foot

  • 2" - 5.00 lbs./square foot

R-Value

  • 4.75 per inch of thickness
Light Reflectance

Tolerances

Tectum ceiling and wall panel measurements are plus or minus
1/8 - 1/4". Thicknesses are nominal. Panels that are to be butted must be beveled and will require field fitting or molding can be used to cover edges.

Limitations

Tectum Acoustical Panels can be used over swimming pools and in open construction such as breezeways and open garages. They should not be installed where they will come in direct contact with water or condensation. Reveal edge panels (Tonico) should not be used for this purpose.

1" panels should not be used where the relative humidity will exceed 85%. Panels 1½" or thicker are not restricted by humidity conditions.

In all cases, the plenum must provide cross-ventilation to prevent condensation.
